Groveland Train Depot

The historic Groveland Train Depot is a former station of the Orange Belt Railway. Eventually, the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad took over the depot, which is now closed. It is located near the corner of State Road 50 and 19 in Groveland. Tourists and residents alike can visit the depot to see its history and learn about its importance to the community. It is located at 122 Howey Rd, Groveland, FL 34736.
Currently, the city is working with the Florida Department of Transportation on the rerouting of State Road 50. This project is a local priority and has been included in the City of Groveland Comprehensive Plan. Additionally, it has been included in the Lake-Sumter Metropolitan Planning Organization’s Long Range Transportation Plan.

The City of Groveland owns 21 of the 36 parcels on Opportunity Site one. The parcels have access to Lake David and are fronted by S.R. 50, which leads into the downtown area. The property also intersects with primary streets that run the length of downtown. As a result, this parcel will attract many potential customers to the area.

Groveland is an ideal place for those looking for a new home. The cost of living is low compared to other Central Florida cities, and residents are close to many major attractions. In addition, the town has an excellent quality of life, a pro-business government, and an eclectic small-town community.
